Theraphosinae sp. “Vulpes” 1/2” punk tank This spider was described insize 1 2 Very little known new world tarantula that is likely from South America. Im working out a better locality for it at this time. My guess is they get about 5 inches as adults and look like a terrestrial species. The only pic that I have seen they appear to be a grey spider with a fuzzy appearance. Any other info that I can gather will be updated here. For now your guess is as good as mine.

This spider was described in 1942 by two  Argentinian woman arachnologist Rita Delia Schiapelli and Berta Sofía Gerschman

These and other “Macrothele” type spiders are by far my favorites to keep in captivity

These giants are a hobby staple and will always be one of my favorite

Originally described Hemirrhagus peruvianus in 1916 by Ralph Vary Chamberlin
