JP's Nymphing Mud - Soft Tungsten Weight - Gray The notch at the baseI am not a fan of split shot on leaders. I prefer to use soft tungsten putty I use to make my own based on a few commercial products until I found JP's. I spin a small football shape on the leader and I am ready to go. Do not over do it a little goes a long way. Also, it will not snag like split shot it could easily pay for it self by eliminating lost flies from snags. Highly recommended. Made in the USA.
