In recent years, significant changes have occurred in the price list of the German automotive concern Daimler. Simultaneously with the advent of new Mercedes models, unprofitable proposals are leaving the production.
The end of the 32-year production history marked the last release of the Glandewagen SUV (G) SUV line. Will there be increased demand for the series models in the future – an open question. But today, Mercedes Gelandewagen can still be freely purchased in car dealerships, in the offer of which there are cars with zero missing and used.
A new wave of increased demand for the line of G in Russia (the past was in the 90s) gave rise to a number of various myths about the opening of the Galandewagen concern in Russia. The main argument, in addition to high demand in recent years, is the presence of Daimler assets in the Russian automotive industry in the form of 10% of KamAZ shares. Given the situation, the leadership of Daimler, whose subsidiary is Mercedes-Benz, will rather lead a more loyal dealer policy for the post-Soviet region. Ultimately, this will bring only amenities to customers. The last two models G 500 Edition 30 and BA 3 Final Edition, essentially, are projects worthy of the final point in the series. And the anniversary version G 500 has an addition in the form of a special package Edition Select.
MAYBACH Cars divided one fate with the class G Classus SUV Mercedes-Benz. The production resumed in 2002 was associated with the desire of Daimler leadership to take the luxury car sales market. But the result did not confirm the expectations of the leadership, and Maybach cars were completely discontinued from production, unable to withstand competition from Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
MAYBACH brand is widely popular in the territory of post -Soviet countries. But, at the same time, it cannot gain, the corresponding high level of sales of its cars, since not every wealthy person can become the owner of this class of a car. It is enough to pay attention to the sales volumes established by the company: this is about 400 cars per year for the entire world market. For the entire time of issue, about 180-200 units were sold in the Russian Federation, while in the United States, on average, 140-150 cars per year were bought in the United States. If you believe the observations over the intervals of the time from the production of luxury cars to the first circle of resale, then in the near future we can assume a sharp increase in demand for Maybach cars with a mileage. Offers to buy such a car can already be found today with a price of several times less initial. But many owners, in connection with the transfer of the series to the category of collectible, may wish to leave their exclusive purchase in the garage as an exhibit.
