Features of removal of wisdom tooths

January 11, 2019

Milking of wisdom tooths is one of the most popular dental operations. The eighth teeth got their name due to the fact that they are already being cut through in adulthood. The removal of the wisdom tooth is recommended to be carried out immediately after their appearance.

Despite the popularity of this operation, it is rarely carried out without connecting a specialist surgeon, as the gum is usually required. Respectively, and the amount of treatment may increase slightly.

The operation itself in the oral cavity takes place according to the following plan:

– tooth examination;

– a picture of the roots;

– Carrying out the margin of the gums (if necessary);

– full tooth extraction with roots;

– Using drugs healing the wound.

Features of the removal procedure

The main feature is that the bones of the skull are already formed, and for the growth of the last teeth there is simply no room. Therefore, the eight begins to grow aside, has a complex curved root.

It is believed that operations on the upper jaw are less problematic and painful. The bone of the lower jaw has a denser structure. In addition, the seed and the back of the jaw interfere with the access of the dentist instrument. The lower eight most often crashes into the cheek from the inside or in front of the standing seven, destroying it. Naturally, such processes greatly complicate the process of food and cause severe pain.In some cases, the patient simply cannot open his mouth for removal. Do not delay to such consequences, but you need to immediately remove the eight at the first signs of unpleasant sensations. The main fear of visiting a doctor is a fear of painful sensations arising as a result of a dentist. But modern technologies allow you to treat teeth with a minimum of unpleasant sensations.

The consequences of removal

Regardless of the quality of the operation, after the end of the anesthesia, unpleasant painful sensations can be observed. Typically, a dentist prescribes painkillers that reduce unpleasant sensations.

The next day (or after a few hours), swelling processes may be observed. People with a high amount of adipose tissue are more susceptible to similar processes. Do not be scared, since such swelling can be observed when removing other teeth. This process is normal since the removal of any tooth is a small surgical operation. Painful sensations can be observed when swallowing or opening the mouth, especially if the removal goes with surgical incisions. Similar symptoms pass in 2-3 days.

But there are also unpleasant situations associated with the remaining roots, an infection or a foreign body in the hole. In this case, edema does not decrease, but increases. The process may be accompanied by an increase in body temperature. With such symptoms, consult a doctor immediately. It should also be remembered that high -quality and painless dental treatment is possible only in proven clinics. Do not save, turning into unknown medical institutions, because their staff may not be qualified enough. It is better to learn in advance about the reputation of the chosen clinic, and it is advisable to do this not at a critical moment, when there is no strength to endure pain, but urgent treatment is needed.
