Representatives of the SEAT company declassified the first three -door hatchback in the history of the Leon model, which received the traditional SC specification (in the decoding – Sportkup). The novelty is shorter than the “five -door”, but is not inferior to it in the internal space and the volume of the luggage compartment.
The wheelbase of the novelty, in relation to the same five -door model, is reduced by almost 35 mm, and the length by 80 mm. At the same time, Seat assures that the luggage volume remains the same – 380 liters. But, slightly shortening the car, the designers supposedly managed to significantly increase its maneuverability. Moreover, without two doors, Leon now looks much more dynamic – at least this is what the SEAT leadership, calling the novelty “the most emotional representative of the whole family”.
The line of power units is represented by gasoline and diesel engines from the Volkswagen auto giant. 1.2 TSI will be offered as a basic motor with an output of 150 liters.With., Top versions will be equipped with a 1.8 -liter gasoline engine with 180 horses, as well as a diesel engine with a capacity of 150 liters.With. As for the transmission, there are no innovations here: the manufacturer will install mechanical boxes with 5 and 6 steps and 6 and 7 steps of the DSG units. Just like a five -door Leon, a three -door option will soon receive a “charged” version of FR, but the time of its appearance has not yet been disclosed. The official debut of Leon SC is scheduled for a motor show in Geneva.
