How we will overtake?

Russian motorists are looking forward to the explanations of the Supreme Court. What is it connected with? At the end of December, they prepared the project, and very soon the court will approve the court at its plenum, clarification of how to properly overtake. The essence of the problem is as follows. All motorists had to deal with this situation: overtaking begins through an intermittent line, and ends – through a continuous. As a rule, drivers claim that they could not have guessed that soon after overtaking the strip would become a continuous.

Often, the magistrate courts agreed with this opinion, and the drivers were finished with light fines. At the same time, if the courts recognized this maneuver illegal departure to the oncoming lane, then the consequences could be worse – up to deprivation of rights up to six months.

The State Inspectorate has long made up with such practice, but now, apparently, I decided through the country’s main judicial authority to defend its point of view. According to the traffic police, the driver must know about the approach of a continuous line. This is due to the fact that as it approaches the continuous, the intermittent line lengthens, as is recorded in GOSTs. All links of drivers to ignorance, government officials reject, considering them excuses.

According to information that appeared a few days ago, the Supreme Court intends to take the side of representatives of law enforcement agencies. Human rights organizations actively disagree with this. The main argument of human rights defenders – the lines in Russia are drawn by anymore, which means that drivers have no way to figure out what’s what. In addition, the movement of Russia’s motorists in their open circulation emphasizes that such a maneuver and the current traffic rules do not prohibit. Moreover, in the rules it is allowed to overtake through an intermittent line and nothing is said about that it will be illegal if the line is complete at the end of the overtaking.

However, judging by the incoming rumors, the Supreme Court does not intend to follow the public. So, soon the number of those who were deprived of their rights sharply increase. Will this state of affairs improve? May be. Indeed, according to official information, over the past year, more than ten thousand accidents occurred throughout the country due to departure to the oncoming lane.

How the motorists themselves are unknown to such a decision. However, it can be assumed that it is inaccessible. After all, almost all excessive tightences that were included in the legislation related to the safety of movement were met negatively.
