DIY car subwoofer .

February 21, 2019

It is no secret that the automobile speakers of modern audio systems do not have large sizes and high -quality sound reproduction. There is a great way to solve this problem – the installation of a common subwoofer for the left and right stereo -channels. It is bought by many drivers.

The subwoofer must have its own speaker, which will reproduce low frequencies of 200-250 Hz. But the cost of this acoustic installation is very large, and can be equal to the price for the entire sound system, but the choice will be justified by providing deep thick bass, and the sound design of the machine will become finished and impeccable.

Such an installation is quite simply connected to a common audio system using an acoustic cable of the required length, which must be calculated based on the length of the car interior. You can connect a car subwoofer with your own hands without using the help of car service specialists.

There are two ways to connect a low -frequency speaker.

1. The subwoofer is connected to the outputs of the amplifier, and the acoustic system is connected to the high -level outputs of the subwoofer. With this connection, the pressure reduced to the sound system in the low -frequency range, because they are not fed in parallel. Because of this, the level of workload is raised.

2. The second connection method involves connecting to the same outputs that are used for any sound equipment. That is, all parts of this system will begin to function in parallel in the low frequency range. If we take into account that the low -frequency speaker has high resistance, then such a connection will not violate the balance of the system. Before connecting a low frequency column, you need to choose the place of listening, and only then turn on the sound.

Starting to transfer with your own hands, a car subwoofer to different places of the cabin, achieve the strongest sound. It should be left in the place where the sound seems to be the lowest, creating the highest pressure. A person’s hearing does not recognize the direction of low frequencies, so only one installation is enough. The sound quality will certainly increase, and it will not be necessary to overload the existing speakers with low -frequency sounds. It is worth noting that the size of such an acoustic system is small. She will not take up much space in the car.
