New crossover from Toyota
Specialists of the Japanese company Toyota demonstrated in Argentina the new Etios Cross crossover, made on the basis of the ETIOS compact hatchback, designed to implement developing countries. The presented car in Argentina costs about 115 thousand pesos, which corresponds to 18 thousand 400 American dollars. A similar cost makes the car the most affordable crossover in the Toyota lineup.
Like a basic sample, the model is equipped with a one and a half liter gasoline engine with a power of 90 horsepower, and pairs with a non-alternative 5-speed mechanical transmission. Outwardly, the new car is distinguished by the presence of a special protective body kit of black matte color around the entire perimeter of the lower body, increased clearance, the presence of a roof of rails, a modified shape of the radiator lattice and new wheel discs.
The Etios Cross market is offered in one single configuration. The model received air conditioning, a multifunctional steering wheel, two airbags, ABS system, electric windows and musical equipment with a USB input for connecting external media of information. Buyers for a car are offered a three -year guarantee.
Most likely, the new crossover will be sold in the same markets as the hatchback, that is, in the countries of Latin America, Indonesia and South Africa. Etios Cross is practically not guaranteed to reach the Russian market.
