Sebastian Vettel won the Bahrain Grand Prix
The winner of the fourth stage of the World Cup Championship of the Formula 1 Auto Russian Class Classes was the current world champion of the German motorist Sebastian Vettel. Since 2009, the athlete has been playing for the Austrian racing team Red Bull Racing Renault.
The Bahrain Grand Prix, the traditional stage of the Formula 1 class race, has been held every year since 2004 at the Sahir International Avtodrome in Bahrain. The main race of the 2012 season took place on April 22. In the 2012 season, Sebastian Vettel first won the stages of the Formula 1 race. The victory of the German athlete can be deserved to be called triple, since Sebastian Vettel started with a pole position, according to the qualification, showed the best time to pass the circle and finally won the race itself.
In the course of the race, serious competitors were Kimi Raikkonen and Roman Grozhan, the pilots of the Lotus team, who took the second and third place according to the results of the Arab stage. Sebastian Vettel was a leader in the course of the entire race. In the fourth round, Roman Grozhan began to actively pursue him. And after the next Pete Stop, the replacement of rubber and the use of successful tactics, the Kimi Raikkonen Bolid, began to give out the best speed results and the Finn at the distance managed to go around the Australian car.
Due to the fact that the speed of the Bolids of the German and Finn were almost the same, Kimi Raikkonen could not take an attacking position. For two circles it seemed that the Finn was attacking, but on the bends, Sebastian managed to accelerate better. Ten circles before the finish, the Germans managed to stabilize the gap of about 2.5 seconds. After that, to the end of the race, the audience failed to see the confrontations of the two highways. Most likely, Kimi Raikkonen received an instruction from boxes not to risk and save the important second place for the team. As they say, a tint in the hand is better.
Thanks to the victory in the fourth stage of the race, Sebastian Vettel managed to get 53 points and take first place in the personal standings, overtaking the Englishman Luis Hamilton, representative of the McLaren Mercedes team. In third place – Australian Mark Webber. It has 48 points and represents the Red Bull Racing Renault command, lagging behind Luis Hamilton by only one point. CaterHAM RECOMPARY, Russian Vitaliy Petrov, finished with the circle of lag behind the winner at 16th position, again overtaking his partner on the command of Haikki Kovalainenen. It is noteworthy that at all four stages of the Formula 1 class race there were four different winners of four different teams.
