Russian Datsun will be more expensive
Soon a new Japanese Datsun brand, revived after a long break, will appear on the Russian automobile market. In our country, cars of this manufacturer will be made on a platform from Lada Kalina and Lada Granta. Initially, the company’s management promised to produce available cars in the price category from 300 to 350 thousand rubles, but now it became known that in the basic configuration of the car it would cost 380 thousand rubles. The cost of the most equipped versions will approach the cost of the Nissan Almera sedan, which is sold at a price of 429 thousand rubles. The relevant information was voiced in the Russian representative office of the company.
The new Datsun is positioned as a model that is a step above Lada Kalina, so the high cost is not an amazing fact, but the exceeding the minimum price over Renault Logan (more advanced from a technical point of view) is a very amazing fact.
Currently, there are no official photographs of the Japanese car for the Russian market. So far, the company is engaged in the release of only two models: the GO hatchback and the GO+ station wagon intended for India and Indonesia, respectively. According to preliminary information, the Russian version of Datsun will externally have much in common with the hatchback for India. It is known that next year the manufacturer will present a car in two bodies at once. The first version of the assembly conveyor will be a sedan, followed by a hatchback most likely.
