How to protect a scooter from theft

July 5, 2018

Over the past few years, scooters have become one of the most popular types of transport for young people. This is due to the fact that it is very easy to ride it, it is light, maneuverable and not costly material. But due to their compactness, mopeds acquire one very big problem – they are easy to steal. Or take it away.

Recently, a lot of moral freaks and non-educated children have appeared in the country, who, if you do not steal your moped, will surely put up somewhere: they will scratch, break, break, pierce the tires, doing all this exclusively for their dubious pleasure. But this is not the reason to immediately abandon this type of transport.

Alarm is the most common way to get rid of this problem. Given the fact that her task is to “yell” loudly when attempting to your scooter, she will either attract your attention or scare off pests. Given the fact that, as a rule, young gopniks are engaged in damage and theft of scooters to ride and throw it away somewhere, the effect of “scaring” works best.

Having decided to install the “signaling” on your bike, breathe a option designed specifically for two -wheeled transport. To choose the right model, you should consult with consultants. The next step will be the adoption of a volitional decision – the equipment must be installed in the service center. Yes, of course, you can do this with friends in the garage, but believe me, it will never guarantee you that the alarm will work at the right time.

Together with the alarm, it is worth organizing another protection – the so -called immobilizer. The best option of immobilizer is a time -tested heavy rigging chain, which will be very difficult to break, with a barn lock. The chain can be passed through a wheel or frame and the nearest massive item (pillar, reliable fence, pipe, etc.D.). Believe me, no one can handle such protection.

But you are probably aware that almost all scooters are equipped with their immobilizers that block the steering wheel and the wheel, and now you are at a loss – why use such a strange way, because everything you need is already built into the scooter? The fact is that such protection can be and will help your scooter somewhere in Japan, in his homeland, but certainly not in Russia, where they simply laugh at such a blocking. Of course, this does not mean that you do not need to use it, but you should definitely not hope for the effect.
